n his long awaited new solo outing entitled ‘Urban Myths’ David focuses on a familiar side of his work that presents ancient myths in a contemporary setting, raiding the great collections of London and elsewhere in the process. The settings range from well know landmarks to obscure corners of London. The myths include Leda and the Swan, Cupid and Psyche, the Fall of Icarus and many more. As enigmatic as ever, these paintings continue with the engaging blend of fact and fiction, past and present that has come to define his work.
